Not just a wedding
The ring, the vows, the beautiful bridesmaid dresses,
the first dance: we do love a good wedding. But ever since last year’s
royal wedding, we’ve been struggling to find a big marriage to get
excited about for 2013.
Luckily
for us, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding is shaping up to be a
good one. Kim may be barely divorced from Kris Humphries, but the
Hollywood rumour mill is constantly churning out new stories about what
the Kimye nuptials will entail. Obviously, most of the gossip probably
won’t be true, but here are our picks of the most fabulous things that
could possibly happen when Kim walks down the aisle.
The dress
Though the future Mr Kardashian
does have his own fashion label, Kim reportedly has her eye on a gown
similar to one by designer Yumi Katsura. Covered in one thousand pearls
and a rare five-carat diamond, the dress was the second most expensive
ever made, valued at around $8.5 million. Hopefully Kimye have been
saving up.
The wedding party
Thanks to Keeping Up With The Kardashians,
we care just as much about what the rest of the family will be doing at
the wedding. Though Kim reportedly told the rest of the Kardashians
that Kanye was going to have to come first, causing something of a
family row, we’re sure they’ll all have made up by the time Kimye say “I
do”.
Kim
has said that she doesn’t want to rush into getting married, so there
will probably be a very cute place in the ceremony for her and Kanye’s
baby, due in July. They’re said to be planning on calling the child
North West.
Outside of the main wedding party, we’re expecting the invite list to read like the front page of Hello! magazine, as friends of the couple include Will Smith, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland, BeyoncĂ© and Jay-Z.
The ceremony
Kimye
have already splashed out $500k on a wedding planner, so the ceremony’s
certain to be spectacular. Apparently Kim would like her favourite
singer Celine Dion to perform, which will cost the couple a cool $6
million. However, in an interview with Tatler
US, Kim revealed that having already gotten married twice, “the next
time, I want to do it on an island with just my friends and family and
that’s it.” We’ll see Kim, we’ll see.
The varsity jacket
Forget the classic blazer, this season is all about the old school varsity jacket. Combine it with dresses and rather formal outfits to give a sporty chic touch to your look. Avoid the expected combos and grab this new must have staple piece. It's cool, fun, college urban chic, sporty luxe and so versatile! Besides many brands like Altuzzara, Rag & Bone, Alexander Wang, Derek Lam, Phillip Lim and Roberto Cavalli made a huge success with it, I think that they know better!
